8 ounces bulk Italian sausage1 11-ounce tube refrigerated French bread doughAll-purpose flour, for dusting1 12-ounce jar sweet or hot fried peppers, drained2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend
1. Preheat the oven to 375˚. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until browned, about 6 minutes. Remove from the heat.
2. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a 9-by-10-inch rectangle. Top evenly with the sausage, peppers and cheese.
3. Starting at a longer side, roll up the dough into a log; pinch the seam to seal. Arrange seam-side down on a baking sheet and bake until golden, about 30 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes, then transfer to a cutting board and slice.
