Sunswept Resorts Delivers in the Wellbeing Segment
By Paloma Villaverde de Rico
You know
Sunswept Resorts
—parent company to two beautiful properties in Saint Lucia that cater to your clients’ wellbeing, both body and mind. And we’re guessing you’ve heard that one of its properties, the 100-room Rendezvous, underwent a rebranding and now goes by
StolenTime by Rendezvous
. The name change is part of a new concept wherein the resort is now catering to
all
adults over 18 (it was focused on couples prior to). Why the change? We wanted to get the scoop, so we sat down with Armin Asceric, corporate director of sales, marketing and digital for Sunswept Resorts.

StolenTime was born, says Asceric, from Sunswept’s desire to create a place that would allow people to escape from the daily grind. “It’s in [Sunswept’s] DNA to improve people’s lives,” he says. “Our key promise to our guests is to change their lives and guide them to their optimal health and wellbeing, so with
BodyHoliday
[sister property to StolenTime] being extremely active [in terms of activities], we needed a new antidote to today’s stressors and that’s when we came up with the concept of StolenTime.
“We already had a couple of these types of
Stolen Moments
experiences at Rendezvous, but with this new concept we’re really committing to helping people with their mental health and relaxation. The property is a beautiful Garden of Eden, super green, super luxe, super tropical, it’s beachfront, so it lends itself to a very relaxing vacation, but we’ve [enhanced] the experiences.”
These include soft adventure, F&B experiences and activities aimed at refreshing and strengthening the human bond. Activities and experiences are designed for guests to learn new things, develop skills and take away priceless memories on their return home. There are mixology competitions, massage lessons, market walks in Castries, scuba diving, salsa dancing, organized hikes, tennis lessons, cooking classes, yoga and Pilates, as well as watersports and copious evening entertainment, with everything from bubbly hour to game nights, dance and live music performances, all included in the rate.
Essentially, he says, StolenTime “offers experiences that make guests forget about time.” This vacation, says Asceric, is ideal for friends and solo travelers, as well as mother/daughter or father/son getaways.
