Planners enjoy a variety of cost-and-time savings when booking a hotel in Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Meetings Collection, a curated collection of hotels and resorts in popular MICE destinations. Launched in 2021, the Meetings Collection includes 160 hotels and resorts across the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. “Over the last several years, Wyndham has continued adding to an already robust portfolio of aspirational hotels and resorts, introducing new offerings in some of the world’s most sought-after destinations,” says Carol Lynch, sr. VP, global sales, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “Wyndham has nearly 9,000 hotels in 95 different countries and 23 different brands. What may not be obvious is how many meeting hotels we have. The Meetings Collection was launched in 2021 with eight full-service, four-star domestic properties. In 2022 it expanded into a global program with 160 properties. And we will continue to grow that number.”
All of Wyndham’s full-service brands, including those in the luxury Registry Collection, are represented in the Meetings Collection. Among the most popular for large groups are the recently renovated Grandover Resort & Spa in Greensboro, North Carolina, a Wyndham Grand hotel with 244 guest rooms and a dedicated conference center; Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Florida, with 343 guest rooms and ample meeting space including a ballroom for up to 720 people and six conference rooms; and Wyndham Grand Xian South in Xian, China, a luxury hotel with 565 guest rooms and suites and more than 50,000 sf of meeting and event space.
Booking Meetings Collection hotels, says Lynch, “makes it easy for planners to have all the terms and conditions worked out in advance, with similar contracting and terms at international properties.” Among the perks for all U.S. hotel bookings are savings of up to 5 percent off total meeting value when booking two events or more, up to 30 percent group attrition with no penalty, a dedicated sales team and single point of contact for each event, and group destination experiences such as locally sourced spirit tastings, curated beach and city cleanup programs, culinary competitions, racing excursions and more. Similar perks are available globally. Another plus for planners who book Meetings Collection hotels is the Go Meet rewards program from Wyndham Rewards. With no minimum spend requirement and no maximum point limit, planners earn one point per dollar spent on qualifying revenue regardless of billing method.—Regina Baraban & Laurel Herman wyndhamhotels.com/meetings
