If you joined SIGMA in Nashville for the 2025 Annual Conference in November, you know how outstanding it was. If you didn’t, make sure you register for SIGMA’s 2026 events – we have had record attendance, and you don’t want to miss out!
The conference opened with a discussion between SIGMA CEO Scott Berhang and Josef Newgarden, two-time INDYCAR champion. Josef shared with us his experience overcoming adversity to try for a third championship, as well as his history in racing and what he likes most about it. His message of resiliency resonated with attendees on many levels and was the perfect kick off to three days of outstanding speakers and presentations.
On Wednesday, SIGMA’s Government Affairs Team brought us up to date on the issues facing Congress that are of importance to members’ businesses, and therefore by extension, to SIGMA. From a discussion on year-round E15 to the penny shortage, members had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the interactive session.
Wednesday afternoon saw a full slate of breakout education sessions on timely topics. Divided into retail and general education tracks, the sessions offered something for everyone and ended early enough in the afternoon that they did not interfere with either business meetings or networking.
Thursday’s Business Meeting and General Session featured a panel discussion on the future of E15, followed by a presentation from Nationwide on Solving the Driver Dilemma – a topic near and dear to many SIGMA members.
In addition to the business and education of the conference, Gulf hosted spectacular networking receptions, featuring the best of Nashville – both its music and its food.
