In 1952, noted golf course architect Press Maxwell transformed this 171-acre plot of land surrounded by ancient oaks and Five Mile Creek into the Golf Club of Dallas, which hosted the PGA Tour’s Dallas Open from 1958 to 1962 and then again from 1964 to 1967. Maxwell's timeless design features tree-lined fairways, strategic bunkering and small, push-up greens.
