and activities through May 3. We did so in accordance with Texas Governor Greg
Abbott’s Executive Order issued on March 31 to minimize social gatherings and in-person
contact with non-household members through April 30.
As the TGA continues to regularly monitor the ever-changing
landscape, we are committed to following governmental directives and expert
guidance. Our top priority during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis continues to be
safeguarding the health and well-being of the entire TGA Family, as well as the
The 111th Texas Amateur Championship at Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg has been rescheduled for
Aug. 6-9 because of continued safety concerns from the COVID-19 virus. Along
with the new dates for the championship, the qualifying schedule has also
changed. Qualifiers will be conducted from June 29 to July 24. More information
regarding the rescheduling of the 111th Texas Amateur will be provided in the
information regarding Revised Schedules for TGA Events can be found on Page 5
of this issue.
