The show, which takes place on 12th and 13th June 2026, explores the incredible and often surprising roles that plants and trees play in our lives, industries, and futures. From plants in pharmaceuticals to compostable packaging, from arboriculture to the ways in which horticulture is used in gaming, this is an event that opens minds to the power and potential of the natural world, as well as giving you the chance to shop until you drop for plants and plant-inspired products.
Moving into year two, the show is growing in exciting ways including:
Enjoy a VIP cottage-style tea in an exclusive lounge, a VIP pack of goodies including vouchers for many of the retailers at the show, queue-skipping entry, and reserved parking. Limited to just 60 tickets per day, the VIP package is available to purchase online until 31st December 2025.
Judged to RHS standards by Kirsty McLean, former ‘Beechgrove Garden’ presenter and award winning garden designer, Jake Dickie of Landform Ltd, and Jackie Bibby of Solstice Nursery, this year’s competition offers three raised bed sizes (2.4m, 4.8m, and 7.2m square). Applications from established or budding garden designers are now open and more information is available by contacting info@nsgardenshow.com.
A new competition open to all and judged by the Royal Caledonian Horticulture Society (The Caley). Details and entry forms are available on the website.
Try out garden tools and landscaping equipment with expert guidance from exhibitors.
Judged by NAFAS rules and guidelines (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies).
Hosted by Deeside Willow on Saturday, online booking is essential.
On Saturday, Jackdaw Forest School returns with hands-on, nature-inspired crafts from 10am–4pm, think naturally dyed bunting, crowns, and wild art.
Designed especially for schools and those looking at a career in horticulture, Friday’s programme, like the 2025 programme, will offer talks aimed at inspiring the next generation of horticulturists, designers, arborists, and innovators. Last year’s event featured 11 talks and demonstrations, and feedback from attending schools was overwhelmingly positive, with one partnership already forming between a school and a local business for a joint project. Secondary schools across the north of Scotland are already booking in for 2026.
No garden show would be complete without being able to browse and shop from plant nurseries, garden and landscape suppliers, artisan makers, garden furniture and buildings, and to meet industry charities - all under cover, with delicious food options and a warm Highland welcome throughout.
