Scotland’s largest professional horticultural careers event is back! Organised by the Chartered Institute of Horticulture in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Grow Careers Scotland is the must-attend event for anyone curious about a future in horticulture.
Aimed at students, early-career professionals, and anyone looking to enter the world of horticulture, this inspiring day is packed with opportunities to connect directly with industry leaders, discover exciting career paths, and hear from a stellar line-up of guest speakers.
This year’s keynote speakers include:

Professor Mike Hardman, University of Salford

James Simpson, Managing Director, Adrian Scripps Ltd., one of the UK’s leading fruit growers

Pippa Greenwood, renowned plant pathologist and broadcaster

Tom Stuart-Smith, celebrated garden designer

Also on the programme is a series of mini-presentations from early-career horticulturists, sharing their own journeys into the industry and hopes for the future.
Now in its eighth year, the event continues to grow, often booking out in days. In 2024, over 240 attendees travelled from across Scotland to take part, with an online option to accommodate a wider audience, and demand is expected to be just as high this year.
