Once again the competition will be judged by Lesley Watson and Dougal Philip who have been garden judges for the RHS for over 25 years, as well as having experience in building over a dozen show gardens to promote their garden centre, New Hopetoun Gardens. They are joined this year on the judging panel by Lewis Normand, President of the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society. The ten final gardens are on display at the Garden Fair and will be judged based on five key criteria: theme, wow factor, layout and structure, artefacts, and hard landscaping, and of course, the plant choice. There will also be a People's Choice Award voted for by visitors to the event so make sure to look for the QR codes on each competitor’s garden and cast your vote! On Friday, 31st of May at 1pm the winner of the Scottish Garden Design Competition 2024 will be announced, with the People's Choice Award being announced on Saturday, 1st of June at 3.45pm.
Remember to vote in the People's Choice Award by scanning the QR code found on each competitor’s garden!
