Krispy Kreme on Oxford Street in London’s West End boasts fresh, hot Original Glazed Doughnuts off the line and circular rings of illumination to mimic the iconic shape of the beloved treats. Designed by Light Forms in conjunction with interior designers from Path Design and electrical contractors from Into Electrical, the nearly 1,530-sq ft shop features a bold visual aesthetic replete with an outer rectangle of light fit to the exact specifications of the space, inside of which are multiple MoonBand 40 suspended rings. Other fixtures by Light Forms such as the Lightplane 2.5 streamlined luminaire, Nova 93 track spots and Carina 115 ceiling-recessed downlights were also employed to create a scene that announces the function of the space, provides strong brand identity and draws customers inside.
At IES2024: The Lighting Conference held in New York City in August, the DOE’s Integrated Lighting Campaign (ILC)—part of the Better Buildings Initiative—recognized 16 organizations for their commitment to energy-efficient and environmentally responsible work in buildings and outside spaces as well as two additional organizations for exhibiting exemplary support for this work.
