VEANNA BLACK* - Viva
Veanna Black is absolutely thrilled to grace the Prima Stage as VIVA! Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, she earned a BFA in Drama from Syracuse University and has a great love for all things storytelling. Recent regional theatre credits include JaJa’s African Hair Braiding, in the next room or The Vibrator Play, The Green Book, and Good Bad People. Some TV/Film credits include Tyler Perry’s The Six Triple Eight, National Geographic’s GENIUS, Single Drunk Female, and The Third Saturday in October. She expresses so much gratitude to and for her village. Thanks for keeping me sane!
HOWARD ELSON* - Claude Horst
New York City native and Pittsburgh “Yinzer” for almost 50 years, Howard… actually, Doctor Elson is a retired pediatric dentist who has been singing, acting, and performing professionally for over 60 years. He is thrilled to be making his Prima Theatre debut! Favorite roles include Tevye (3 runs!) in Fiddler…, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Fredrik in A Little Night Music, both grandfathers in Caroline, or Change, and Willie Clark in The Sunshine Boys. Still pitching, at age 77, in adult senior baseball leagues, Howard has been inducted into his alma mater’s (Queens College) Athletics Hall of Fame as well as The Western PA Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, has pitched for 8 National Championship teams and currently throws for the reigning (2024) 75 and Over National Champions. Much love and gratitude to wife of 53 years, Robin, children Phil and Lauren, son-in-law Dan, and four amazing grandchildren, Sadie, Dylan, Lily, and Gabe. Howard is a proud member of Actors’ Equity and The American Dental Association.
JOSHUA WILLIAM GREEN* - Glenn
Joshua William Green is a Lancaster area actor, singer, dancer, director, and choreographer. He relocated to this area during the pandemic and has been loving it ever since. Joshua has been performing professionally since the age of seven, with two Broadway National Tours and a Broadway concert (Rocktopia!) to his name. Joshua works on and off stage all around Lancaster County, and he is no stranger to Prima. He has performed in, directed, and written many amazing Prima productions such as Illumination, The Mom Show, Girl Group Greats, Golden Era, and Sammy & Sinatra. JO JOHNSON - Connie
Jo is excited to make her debut at Prima! This is where she will finally conclude her murder spree, having recently played Clarence, Rivers, Duchess of York in Richard III, Miss ffoliotffolkes in Murder on the Nile, Princess Dragomiroff in Murder on the Orient Express, and Mrs. Peacock in Clue. She has appeared in a number of plays in local theaters near her home in Philadelphia. She completed an MFA in Stage Management from the Professional Theater Training program at UW Milwaukee and studied acting at HB Studios.
RORI CAITLEN - Kosa
Rori is happy to reunite with the Prima team after appearing in Disenchanted
and First Date. Broadway: Joseph...Dreamcoat. Off-Broadway: Showgirls, the Musical!, Love. Quirks, James and the Giant Peach. Carnegie Hall: Journey to America. Nat'l tours: MTV’s Rockband, Live! and Disney Junior's Chuggington, Live! Other fav credits: Rent (Maureen) at Charleston Music Hall, Rock of Ages (Regina) at Arizona Bway Theater, Spamalot (Lady of the Lake) at North Street Playhouse, and the Sondheim revue, You're Gonna Love Tomorrow with Theater 2020. JJ WILKS - Todd
JJ Wilks (They/Them): JJ is a New York City based actor and is overjoyed to make their Prima Theatre debut! Off-Broadway: Bettinger’s Luggage (Pesky Customer; AMT Theater). Regional: Biloxi Blues (Joseph Wykowski; Cumberland Theatre), I and You (Anthony; Bristol Riverside Theatre), Summer and Smoke (Roger Doremus/Traveling Salesman; Voice Theatre), The Book Club Play (Robert; Bristol Valley Theater), Twelfth Night (Orsino u/s; Shakespeare on the Sound). 2022-2023 season at The Metropolitan Opera. Up next, JJ will play Starbuck in TheRainmaker at Bristol Valley Theater in Naples, NY. Endless thanks to their friends and family for always being Team JJ. KARRAH NORDLUND - Swing
Karrah Nordlund- Karrah is thrilled to be back performing on the Prima Stage alongside such an amazing cast and crew! Other credits include Off the Yellow Brick Road (Prima Theatre), Into the Woods (Prima Theatre), David, Esther, SAMSON, Moses (Sight and Sound Theatre), Vocalist for Disney Cruise Line, Les Miserables (North Carolina Theatre), and more! Elon University BFA Musical Theatre, and graduating as Karrah Nordlund, RN, during this run. Thankful to God and her family- blood and chosen.
DUANE HESPELL - Swing
Duane's fun with Prima has included such shows as Oz the Musical, Big Fish and First Date. Other recent and local credits include Assassins, August: Osage County, The Crucible (Susquehanna Stage Company), Tuck Everlasting, Little Women, and A Christmas Carol (Servant Stage). Offstage, and when not falling off his bicycle, Duane likes to run, golf and fix up Becky’s “castle” as a thank you for all her wonderful support.
