Welcome to the fall issue of the Financial Journey.
I always look at this season as my new year; reminiscent of buying new clothes for the start of school, making book covers from brown paper bags, and running through a lawn of leaves to catch a football.
It feels this way about the Credit Union too, as we embark on strong strategic plans and kickoff our new advertising campaign:
Stop Searching. GO NORTHWEST.
Many of you have seen this tagline on our mailers, social media, and signage. We are creating ads for local television coverage, adding advertisements to streaming services for the first time, and reaching out to specific demographics: the 18-34 crowd and the Hispanic population.
Another exciting collaboration is as a new sponsor partner with the Washington Commanders, making Northwest Federal the official credit union of the burgundy and gold!
Our new branch in McLean opened this past June, and we are implementing initiatives that will directly support our members and our communities. This includes leaning into open technologies to maintain our strong financial position, and applying efficiencies that continue to exceed member expectations.
I’ve got good news about the economy in my feature article, Resilience in an Imperfect World, page 04. Our Foundation continues to excel, and will hold its annual Golf Tournament in October. See the latest on page 12. There’s more good news about the SECURE Act on page 11, and as always, our Social Life page will show you where we’ve been in the community (page 05).
I am excited about this season and the things we will be doing. Northwest will be out and about as usual, doing what we can to help people and places in need, and at the ready to provide financial guidance for every stage of life.
Feel free to email me your comments about this issue or anything else.
Be well on your financial journey.
