At Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation, we know that anyone can be a super-hero in a child’s life. It is the everyday heroes, people like you and me, who impact lives just by showing up. Especially to those children who need to see that higher education, owning their own home, and having a successful career is all possible.
Now that we are able to continue our service in the community post-pandemic, the Northwest Foundation has set an ambitious goal of contributing 2,023 hours of service in the community in 2023. One of our Northwest Superheroes who is volunteering regularly is Nadine Channer, Maintenance Specialist at Northwest. “I love helping out and spending time with my colleagues outside of the normal work environment,” says Nadine who is using her 24 paid hours volunteering at a local food and clothing distribution center. “I’ve always enjoyed serving at food pantries because it is helping meet people’s most basic needs,” she said.
You, too, can be a Northwest Foundation Superhero. You can mentor, work alongside kids and Northwest employees at one of our community drives, or give your time to review scholarship applications. It’s about helping children realize their dreams – sometimes beyond their dreams – just by showing up.
