To request testing accommodations under the ADA, you must submit a request form and supporting documentation during your online application process. NABP abides by all applicable federal and state statutes relating to people with disabilities.
To ensure the security and integrity of its examinations, all testing accommodation requests under the ADA will be evaluated by NABP first, and then evaluated by the board of pharmacy, as applicable.
To submit an accommodation request:
Review the Pearson VUE Comfort Aid List for items that do not require preapproval, but do require a visual inspection before they are allowed into the testing room.
If you are approved for ADA testing accommodations by NABP, you will be notified via email and must schedule your examination appointments by contacting Pearson VUE’s customer service by phone (see the Contact Information section at the end of this Bulletin).
Failure to schedule for ADA accommodations with a Pearson VUE representative (by phone) may result in ADA accommodations not being available to you at the testing center. It is your responsibility to appropriately schedule your testing appointments; any instances where the procedure has not been followed may result in the forfeiture of the testing opportunity and examination fee.
If you elect to test without your approved ADA accommodations, adjustments will not be made to the exam results.
If you wish to cancel your ADA accommodation request, or you have already applied for the examination, contact ADArequest@nabp.pharmacy. If you have already applied for an examination without an ADA accommodations request and would now like to submit a request, contact ADArequest@nabp.pharmacy for more information.
