There is something special about athletics at a Division III school. When you wear the “M” as a student-athlete, you are in it for the love of the game, for the sense of community with teammates and fans, and to balance your life playing the sport you love while also pursuing your academics with passion and vigor.
A renewed focus on athletics brought the Hill championship bids, new faces on staff, upgrades for several facilities, and a slew of student-athletes proud to call themselves Green Terrors.
After the women’s soccer team’s first Centennial Conference championship win in 2021, the team qualified for the championship again in 2022 and hosted the quarterfinal round on the Hill. The team advanced to the semifinals at Johns Hopkins University.
McDaniel also sent Thomas Monn to the NCAA Wrestling Championship, where he finished in sixth place and earned All-America status. He was also recognized as the national Freshman of the Year. In 2022-23, McDaniel Athletics welcomed a new associate athletics director, assistant athletics director, director of athletics communications, head field hockey coach, and several assistant coaches.
