IDEC
IDEC Corporation introduced its SX8R Bus Coupler module, which allows users to easily deploy I/O modules throughout equipment and systems. This supports the industry design trend of using smaller, decentralized control panels to simplify installations and reduce wiring complexity, resulting in overall cost efficiency. The module is an ideal way to design distributed remote I/O systems or to expand the count for controllers with limited base unit points. For example, the SX8R works natively with IDEC PLC FC6A I/O modules, which are available in over 40 models encompassing a variety of discrete and analog signal types and counts. Each SX8R supports up to 7 I/O modules on the base unit, and up to 8 additional modules with the use of an expansion power supply, for a total of up to 15 I/O modules. https://lp.idec.com/SX8R

Trimble
Trimble has announced its R980 GNSS system. Building upon features available on Trimble’s latest receiver models, including the Trimble ProPoint positioning engine, the new R980 adds several new elements, including upgraded communication capabilities to support uninterrupted field operations. The R980 includes ProPoint GNSS positioning engine and inertial measurement unit (IMU)-based tilt compensation. The R980’s communication capabilities include a dual-band UHF radio and an integrated worldwide LTE modem, for receiving corrections from a local base station or VRS network. Able to operate on 450 MHz, 900 MHz or LTE bands, users have flexibility in how they receive and transmit RTK corrections. Operating in both 450 MHz and 900 MHz bands also allows for greater interoperability, with a wider range of existing industry solutions. www.trimble.com
Pettibone
Pettibone brings its X-Series telehandler lineup to the 15,000-pound lifting class for the first time with the Extendo 1544X. The added load capacity is ideal for both construction and pipe yard applications. The telehandler is powered by a 117-horsepower Cummins QSF 3.8 Tier 4 Final turbo diesel engine. Mounted onto a side pod, the engine offers easy accessibility to components and daily service checks, while still allowing for exceptional curbside visibility and a ground clearance of 19 inches. The 30-gallon fuel tank provides ample volume for a full day’s work at 100% load. The telehandler comes standard with foam-filled tires. The 1544X offers a maximum lift height of 44 feet, a maximum forward reach of 29 feet and a maximum load capacity of 15,000 pounds. www.gopettibone.com
Dekotec
Dekotec GmbH offers Dexpand-CF70, which repairs damaged sections of steel pipes and restores the structural integrity, returning them to their original level. With the carbon composite repair system, the pipeline can be repaired during ongoing operations. The system can provide savings of about 75% and take about half as long, Dekotec said. It is suitable to repair defects for pipes in which up to 80% of the original wall thickness has been lost. The system is suitable for operating temperatures of up to 70 degrees C (158 degrees F). www.dekotec.com
