Halloween is fast approaching, which means not only are the grocery stores filled with fun-sized candy but True Linkswear is resurrecting its Dead Golfer collection of goods to celebrate October.
The annual Dead Golfer small-batch capsule features footwear, including the OG3 Pro and Vacay Slides, as well as apparel featuring True’s cult-favorite skeleton golfer in multiple colorways on sweatshirts, tees, hats, towels, ball markers and more.
“(The Dead Golfer) wasn’t designed to be a logo or any kind of over-the-top symbol; it was more of a sketch, a reminder not to take the game too seriously,” said Jason Moore, True Linkswear co-founder and CEO. “Over time, it just resonated with people who love golf the same way we do. It’s simple, a little gritty, and it captures the feeling of playing the game for the pure joy of it.”
The OG3 Pro ($219) limited edition performance shoe built for walkers features True’s zero-drop WanderLux midsole, a new easy-on tongue system and a two-year waterproof guarantee. The Vacay Slide ($74) in men’s and women’s models features the WanderLux superfoam cushioning and a mesh-backed suede strap.
Dead Golfer apparel includes relaxed and premium hoodies ($95-100), vintage tees ($45-50) and crewnecks ($125), as well as socks ($18), sunglasses ($45) ball markers ($30-50) and a stacked hat ($50) collection (Tech 6-panel, vintage 2-tone canvas and monogram canvas twill). Throughout October, True is rotating soft good drops with multiple logo variations.
Beyond Dead Golfer month, True has introduced the OG3 High ($235) – a high-top shoe that features elevated ankle support, wide toe box, zero drop, natural flexibility and lightweight construction that can handle any conditions in any season on the course.
The lightweight coated mesh upper keeps golfers warm, dry and comfortable while offering an easy-slip on neoprene stretch collar and an innovative webbed lacing system for customizable stability and comfort. Designed to improve the function of traditional soft spikes, a TPU formed outsole tread delivers confident traction in any lie and on steep hillsides.
“Golfers anywhere can appreciate a durable waterproof golf shoe with versatile performance that effortlessly tackles inclement weather, uneven terrain and long walks on the links,” said Moore. “We’re excited for players to test this shoe.”
