L.A.B. Golf introduces its latest innovation in the putter category – the OZ.1i HS – that is the result of several years of research and development dedicated to combining its pioneering “Lie Angle Balance” technology with a heel-shafted putter.
“Lie Angle Balance (L.A.B.) is so much more than where the shaft goes into the head, and golfers are going to feel that when they try OZ.1i HS,” said Sam Hahn, CEO of L.A.B. Golf. “It looks a lot like a traditional putter, but it performs like a L.A.B. This is a huge step toward our mission of helping every golfer putt better.”
OZ.1i HS ($499) features the same aluminum body mechanically bonded to a fly-milled stainless steel insert as found in the OZ.1i. The shaft is connected to the head with an aluminum riser available in 10 different configurations – ranging from 65 to 74 degrees – allowing it to be customized to each golfer’s preferred lie angle.
“Designing a heel-shafted putter that stays balanced to the lie angle presented us with a unique challenge,” said Brian Parks, L.A.B. Golf’s vice president of engineering. “The result is our custom, proprietary aluminum riser, a key feature of the OZ.1i HS that lets us offer multiple lie angles without compromising the signature feel and balance golfers expect from every L.A.B. putter.”
In addition to the lie angle, golfers choosing custom versions (starting at $599) can select their preferred length, head weight, head color, riser color, alignment marking, shaft, shaft lean and grip, ensuring that each hand-balanced putter is tailored to the individual.
