Augusta National Golf Club has released a brochure touting its “Official Masters Hospitality” program for 2026. The program offers a wide range of services, according to a copy of the brochure viewed by Sports Business Journal, including housing near Augusta National, transportation to and from the course for tournament viewing, and tee times at other local golf courses. It also offers clinics with high-profile instructors, fireside chats with past Masters champions, players or golf broadcasters, and wine tastings.
The brochure lists a “Full Scale, Private Home Program” as a sample that totals $219,600 for the week. The estimate in the sample provided is for eight guests and three spectating trips to Augusta National. READ MORE
Mike Hill, who won three PGA Tour titles in the 1970s before embarking on a PGA Tour Champions career that included 18 victories, died last Monday at the University of Michigan hospital, according to the tour. He was 86.
Hill was the brother of the late Dave Hill, who won 13 times on the PGA Tour and six times on the senior circuit. The two grew up on a dairy farm in Jackson, Michigan, adjacent to Jackson Country Club, where the brothers caddied.
After playing golf at Arizona State and serving in the U.S. Air Force, Mike Hill followed his brother into professional golf. His best season was 1991, when he won five times on the senior tour and captured the money title. In his later years, Hill played regularly and gave lessons at Hills’ Heart of the Lakes, a municipal course in Brooklyn, Michigan, that his family owns. READ MORE
Teen standouts Miles Russell and Asterisk Talley were among six boys and six girls named to the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team last week. The team will face a squad of European counterparts in three days of matches on the eve of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.
Captained by past PGA of America president Suzy Whaley, the juniors will play foursomes and four-ball matches at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, New York, on Sept. 23-24, with the singles to be held at Bethpage Black on Sept. 25, the day before the Ryder Cup starts.
The other members of the team are Zoe Cusack, Anna Fang, Rayee Feng, Lily Peng, Amelie Zalsman, Hamilton Coleman, Luke Colton, Lunden Esterline, Tyler Mawhinney and Guiseppe Puebla. READ MORE
