Mizuno’s celebrated Signature Series adds Pro S-1, a pure muscle back iron designed for players who value precision and workability.
Forged using Mizuno’s grain-flow HD process from a single billet of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, the Pro S-1 delivers Mizuno’s renowned soft and responsive feel. A copper underlay further refines vibration patterns to produce satisfying feedback. The S-1 features a compact, tour-preferred profile with a square toe design, thin top line and straight edges.
Tour feedback led to the S-1 incorporating a shallow channel in the back of the clubhead that redistributes mass for greater vertical stability, more predictable launch and consistent center of gravity while retaining the look of a blade.
The Pro S-1 ($215 per club) also introduces a re-engineered sole precisely shaped to optimize turf interaction – particularly beneficial for shallower swings – featuring a flatter camber, sharper leading edge and an additional degree of bounce. The result is a club that offers greater forgiveness for shallower attack angles while reducing the chance of digging.
The nickel chrome soft white satin finish reduces glare at address.
