The 2031 Ryder Cup will be held at the Camiral Resort in northeastern Spain, the president of the Catalan Golf Federation told the Associated Press.
Ramon Nogué, president of the Catalan Golf Federation, told the AP by phone last Friday that “next week it will be official” that Girona will be announced as the host of the matches between Europe and the United States.
“Any announcement in relation to future editions of the Ryder Cup will be made in due course,” Ryder Cup Europe said.
The choice of Camiral Resort was first reported by Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. The resort, which was previously called PGA Catalunya, has hosted European Tour events and the Spanish Open. READ MORE

Bob Bubka, a native New Yorker whose booming baritone voice was familiar to golfers and radio listeners since the 1980s, died at age 83.
Bubka, who began covering high school sports for WLNG Radio in 1964, covered golf for decades for outlets including NBC Sports, the PGA Tour and the U.K.’s talkSPORT radio and was the host of the “Outside the Ropes” radio show. “The voice of golf” covered greats from Jack Nicklaus to Tiger Woods.
