Drawing inspiration from one of Asics’ throwback offerings from 1981, the all-new Japan S spikeless golf shoe has the look of a casual sneaker but is built for traction on the course.
The Japan S ($99.99) offers golfers a unique alternative to the traditional golf shoe look with a sleek, casual design emphasizing premium materials and comfort. It can effortlessly transition from the course to a social setting.
Following in the steps of Asics running shoes, padding is placed on the ankle and tongue to ensure comfort with every move, while the midsole offers additional cushioning and shock absorption. Specifically placed studs and a forefoot pivot circle provide golfers with the extra traction needed during their swing. An internal mold heel counter provides an adaptive fit while more pronounced heel studs offer additional grip.
Japan S features a water-resistant flexible upper crafted from synthetic leather, keeping the feet dry and protected from any conditions. A limited-edition color – white and green – is currently available.
Asics also introduced two new colorways in the Gel-Kayano Ace 2 model ($170) which is renowned for its comfort and stability.
