Mizuno calls its Pro S-3 irons “a modern masterpiece,” building on its forging heritage to create a refined design that combines feel, playability and precision for today’s discerning golfers.
The Mizuno Pro S-3 irons ($1,600 for eight-piece set) are made of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel using the company’s “grain flow forged HD” process to build a sleek club with straighter lines for a clean appearance that balances between traditional elegance and contemporary style. A copper underlay with subtle vibration patterns creates connection and smoothness at impact.
The Pro S-3’s thin top line reduces bulk while a thin sole integrating “triple cut” technology enhances versatility, making the club effective across various lies and turf conditions. The compact head length adds to the precision and workability, allowing players to shape their shots.
The irons’ bevelled leading edge provides cleaner ball strikes, while a hard-cut trailing edge facilitates smooth turf exit, enhancing control during impact.
