Lydia Ko’s victory in the AIG Women’s Open was pure box office – and the Hollywood ending at St Andrews has been captured perfectly in the championship’s official film.
Available to watch for free on R&A TV, the broadcast allows viewers to relive how Ko captured her third major title so magnificently.
The New Zealander chased down a cast of stellar names on the final day – just weeks after winning Olympic gold in Paris – to add her name to the coveted trophy.
Also showcased in the official film is England’s Lottie Woad, winner of the Smyth Salver, the prize awarded to the lowest-scoring amateur – a prize which Ko herself won at St Andrews in 2013.
The official film is available to viewers in the UK, Republic of Ireland and other selected territories.
