True Linkswear is best known for its shoes, but its new soft-goods collection headlined by “Dead Golfer” signifies apparel growth within the industry. To celebrate, True has declared October “Dead Golfer Month.”
The limited-edition Dead Golfer collection introduces several new apparel items now available for online purchase: golf gloves, sweatshirts, hoodies, T-shirts and hats featuring its skeleton golfer in various logo designs. The skeleton golfer, True says, “represents living with an ‘undying’ love for golf.”
“The Dead Golfer has taken hold in the True community and become a fun secondary logo for us,” said Jason Moore, CEO and co-founder of True Linkswear with his PGA Tour pro brother, Ryan. “It captures the spirit of a deep love for the game that penetrates anything else throughout your lifetime and is a really fun look to add to golf apparel and express your passion for the sports and being immersed in the golfing lifestyle.”
The Dead Golfer was revived leading up to Halloween with apparel pieces available for a limited time which have been produced in small batches. Each piece is sold in multiple color options highlighted by thematic designs that include the Evolve Dead Golfer, Dead Golfer Mahalo and Rodeo Riders Club logos.
The limited batch of Dead Golfer sweatshirts includes the Future Staples Hoodie ($125) released earlier this year and two new pieces – the premium ($95) and relaxed ($100) hoodies. True premium ($45) and relaxed ($50) crew T-shirts have a new graphic on the left chest and a larger graphic on the back.
For the first time, True is offering a new Lux Golf Glove ($35 or $89 per three-pack), crafted from premium Cabretta leather (white, gray and cognac) and featuring the signature Dead Golfer logo.
The capsule includes 10 new headwear designs ($45-$50) – nine ball-cap styles (including snapback and trucker) and a bucket hat – highlighting the Dead Golfer or Dead Golfer Society logos.
