Callaway introduced its new Apex Pro series family, with three different irons (Pro, CB and MB) and two new versatile utility options (UT and UW) designed to deliver more distance and precision.
The Apex Pro irons ($215 per stick) utilize an innovative new multi-material forged construction paired with its patented urethane microspheres to deliver unmatched feel in a total performance players iron. A progressive face design promotes powerful long irons and more precise short irons, while its Dynamic Sole Design offers improved turf interaction and better contact.
The Apex CB irons ($215) are designed for discerning tour pros and elite ball-strikers. This tour-cavity back is designed with an all-new forged construction for a purer feel, precise shot-making and workability. The Apex MB irons ($215) were developed for elite players looking for a high level of performance in a modern tour blade.
The Apex UT iron ($275) provides better players with a powerful yet versatile option off the tee when precision is paramount. The 455 forged face cup is engineered to provide better distance, with a revolutionary multi-material forged construction paired with a patented urethane microspheres to enhance feel.
The Apex UW metal wood ($300) fills the gap between a fairway wood and a hybrid utilizing a combination of Callaway’s best technologies. Its unique profile promotes the launch and distance benefits of Callaway’s high-lofted fairway woods and the versatility of its hybrids with a more neutral ball flight. It’s a multi-purpose offering that better players can use with confidence off the tee into tight landing areas, out of the fairway into par-5s or from the rough.
“It is a club that’s going after ball speed and distance in a different way with the ability to work the ball in a more neutral ball flight, while landing steep into greens,” said Brian Williams, vice president of Callaway’s research and development objectives. “It’s one that a player can hit a long distance but to a number that they are comfortable with and different types of conditions that gives players lots of options.”
