Mizuno’s popular Pro 225 irons are available globally in a Black Ion-plated special edition.
The black plating, with a striking, lights-out look, will match the special-edition Pro 225 irons with its hybrid cousin, the Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi. The irons are available as standard sets ($1,505 set or $215 per club) in 4-GW, 4-PW and 5-GW and with Dynamic Gold 105 Black Onyx S300 shafts in the U.S. and 4-PW with KBS S-Taper Lite black shafts for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Custom sets are available in Australia.
“The Mizuno Pro 225 has been our most popular model within its series, and already blends so well with the Fli-Hi,” Mizuno’s Chris Voshall said. “We found with the Fli-Hi that the Black Ion plating does an incredible job of making the iron look more compact, and it has the same impact with the 225s.”
The Pro 225 is the second generation of Mizuno’s Hot Metal Blade and is the most playable of the Mizuno Pro series. It’s more compact than the original, with a revised multi-thickness face for quicker ball speeds.
The irons are forged in Hiroshima, Japan, with a soft copper underlay for a uniquely satisfying Mizuno sensation at impact.
