Puma Golf and Puma Hoops collaborated on a new apparel lineup rooted in street culture called “In the Rough,” a fusion inspired by the love of golf and basketball.
The merged In the Rough product offers an expression of toughness and grit as well as elevated golf style that can be worn on and off the course.
The full lineup of apparel – featuring the In the Rough stylized cat logo and retro street-style font – includes limited-edition basketball-style Slipstream G golf shoes ($150), polos ($85), wind vests ($120), T-shirts ($45), hoodies ($120), shorts ($80), joggers ($100), crews ($100), jackets ($120), caps ($45) and visors ($35).
The collection also includes women’s items: a golf dress ($115) and racerback polo ($70).
“We’re excited to work with the Puma Hoops team to develop the In the Rough collection,” said Mike Diaz, Puma Golf’s marketing director. “The line does an incredible job of combining sport culture through a golf and basketball lens.”
Last week, Puma also introduced a new apparel capsule in conjunction with the fashion house Liberty of London to celebrate the Open Championship. The Puma x Liberty line consists of men’s and women’s items, including shoes, and features patterns highlighting Liberty’s long and tasteful fashion history with a vibrant blue-green color palette, embroidered embellishments and blooming prints.
“This collection is where golf meets art and fashion,” Diaz said. “It’s a true fresh take on casual-lux, which mirrors the nature of the Open Championship. This is a prestigious showcase for course-ready elegance, with authenticity to the host city.”
