I first wrote about GolfForever in fall 2019. Founded by 12-time PGA Tour winner Justin Leonard and Dr. Jeremy James, it offered online exercise and training programs designed to help golfers safely improve strength and mobility while also relieving pain and preventing injury.
As a man of a certain age (nearly 65) who is not exactly enamored with the distance I have been losing off the tee and the way my back so often aches before, during and after rounds, I was both intrigued and impressed by what it offered.
One thing GolfForever did not have back then, however, was an ability to create a personalized regimen. And as good as the videos that Leonard and James offered may have been, they were of a more generic and general nature.
Fortunately, that has changed, and it is now possible to truly customize a GolfForever program – and use it every day.
All that requires is visiting the company website to sign up for a free trial. James offers a video welcome, and then he and Leonard lead the viewer through a three-exercise assessment to see what realistically can and can’t be done from a physical standpoint. After performing each of the exercises – and then answering simple questions and providing some personal information – a customized program is produced for the golfer in short order. So is a homepage with easy access, making it simple to follow from any location. If a golfer chooses to sign up after the trial, the cost is $150 a year or $14.99 a month.
My program level settled on something called Middle Tees, but I am hoping to elevate that status by the fall – and to add yards to my shots while I shave a stroke or two off my handicap.
