Scotty Cameron’s Phantom 9.5R putter has been a proven winner on tour for Cameron Young and Jackson Koivun. Now it joins the 9R and 9.2R as part of the retail Phantom putter family.
Since landing as a prototype on tour, Phantom 9.5R grew in popularity with its modern mallet design with rounded (hence the “R”) contours and an elongated “.5” jet neck configuration, which work in tandem to deliver stability and alignment with a blade-like feel.
The new Phantom 9.5R model ($549) features the 2026 Phantom family’s full-face Studio Carbon Steel inserts with chain-link milling that produce a softer sound and feel. While sharing the same head shape as the Phantom 9R and 9.2R, the 9.5R delivers more toe flow through the stroke due to its elongated jet-neck setup.
The 9.5R also has a long, single sight line that stretches the length of the putter head. “It’s just a really, really nice clean look,” Young said of his 9.5R. “The long line helps with my alignment.”
Scotty Cameron’s 2026 Phantom mallet lineup comprises five putter head shapes (3, 5, 7, 9 and 12) and 12 unique configurations, aimed at matching the widest range of putting strokes and player preferences.
