Titleist’s T-Series irons have been the primary force on the PGA Tour for the last two decades, and now they’ve given in to an even darker side with new titanium carbide vapor finishes on each T-Series Black model.
The limited-edition T-Series Black offers a more durable and smudge-resistant finish consistently across all models – T100, T150, T200 and T350 – to create a seamless transition from iron to iron in blended sets. That gives fitters and golfers the opportunity to optimize ball speed, peak heights and landing angles throughout the blended bag but maintain the darker black finish throughout.
T-Series Black irons ($271 per iron; $1,899 per 7-piece set) are offered in both right- and left-handed. To complete the all-black aesthetic, each iron features a version of an onyx shaft and an all-black Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Flat Cap grip.
T100 irons are designed for players looking for precision control and feel, making them a commonly trusted choice by pros including Jordan Spieth, Ludvig Åberg, Tom Kim and Cameron Smith.
“I’ve used the black finish since the AP2’s came out, I can’t remember how long ago,” said Smith, who won the 2022 Open Championship with a set of T100 Black irons. “I think for me just how they look, looks like a tighter finish line on top. They also look a little bit smaller, so I feel like you kind of have to concentrate a little bit more to see it.”
T150 irons offer a bump in speed, distance and forgiveness, built on the same fully forged platform as T100 but with 2-degree stronger lofts and a more confidence-inspiring shape.
The T200 irons are designed for players seeking added distance and forgiveness without compromising on looks, feel, trajectory or stopping power. The game-improvement T350 iron is built to launch high and provide exceptional distance and forgiveness.
