In many ways, the new Adidas ZG21 Motion Boa is all about a fit that is designed to provide what company officials call “a better foot connection” while also maintaining “flexibility and freedom in the toe box.” System features include the company’s PerformFit Wrap as well as L6 Dials to tighten or loosen flexible and low-friction textile laces.
The PerformFit Wrap also adds comfort to the shoes, as does the inclusion of a Boost and Lightstrike hybrid midsole, an Insite sock liner and an Adidas Primeknit collar. As for traction and stability, they are enhanced through a six-spike, ThinTech cleat outsole.
The shoes are available in three color options, among them an eye-grabbing combination of black, “screaming” green and white, and are offered for men and women. They are also notable for having uppers comprised in part by recycled materials called Primegreen.
“After studying golfers’ movements extensively in the Performance Fit Lab, we applied our learnings to the design of the PerformFit Wrap that is featured in the Adidas ZG21 Motion Boa,” said Dan Feeney, manager of biomechanics research for Boa Technology Inc. “The configuration enables more explosive action and unparalleled accuracy.”
