In August 2017, Callaway Golf acquired the TravisMathew brand, and that company has recently released a pair of golf shoes under the Cuater name. One is the Moneymaker and the other is dubbed the Legend, and they retail for $159.95 and $249.95, respectively.
The Moneymaker (above) is a lightweight, spikeless shoe with an athletic style and a number of technological features. The shoe’s fabric upper is waterproof and treated with 3M Defender to prevent staining. The Moneymaker also features a foam midsole that is made to provide both comfort and rebound, while a TPU spikeless outsole is designed to supply extra stability and traction. In addition, this product comes with a molded, dual-density OrthoLite sock liner and a microsuede top cloth.
Company officials describe the Legend as a “tour” golf shoe that relies on an innovation called Sweet Spot Technology for its foam midsole and molded sock liner. The upper in this version is made of premium, full-grain leather. It has perforations for breathability and is described as being 100 percent waterproof.
