The key to Cobra’s new King Forged Tec line of irons is the hollow cavity that each clubhead possesses. That space is infused with so-called “energizing foam microspheres” that are designed to enhance feel and sound as they support a thin “Pwrshell” face that is made to increase ball speed. In addition, the updated forged face in these muscle-back sticks features a larger sweet zone to encourage a higher launch as well as faster ball speed. A tungsten toe weight puts the center of gravity behind the hitting zone in an effort to improve distance and precision.
As is the case for the majority of Cobra clubs, the King Forged Tec irons are equipped with the Cobra Connect system, which enables users to track accuracy and distance using the Arccos Caddie app on a smart device.
The King Forged Tec line comes in two versions. One includes an eight-piece set of variable-length irons, from 4-iron to PW, and in both right- and left-handed offerings. The other is the One Length edition, with each of the eight clubs the same length of a 7-iron.
