The love of the game was on full display at Sierra View Country Club in Rocklin in April as the Inaugural U.S. Adaptive Golf Alliance Net National Championship, held in partnership with Western Amputee Golf Association, teed off.
The event utilized U.S. Adaptive Golf Rankings Competition standards based on each players CSR (Competitive Score Rating) into six different tiers to level the playing field, giving every player a chance to be called a champion.
“The No.1 goal is to provide as many opportunities as possible for the adaptive golfers throughout the U.S., and the world for that matter,” USAGA Executive Director Jonathan Synder said.
Scottie Fehlberg had the shot of the championship, scoring a hole-in-one on the par-3 5th hole. The ace earned Fehlberg $30,000.
