One of the NCGA’s newer programs, NCGA Player’s League is open to every private, semi-private and public golf course within the NCGA region.
New this year during the regular season matches they will be played with five players per club instead of seven to combat no shows. Championship matches will be played with six players instead of seven. Pros still not required but welcomed.
Teams are comprised of five players. Clubs are arranged in groups of three, four or five and play a series of home and away matches within their assigned group. Matches can be set by Handicap Index but are played at scratch, using a unique points system for scoring.
At the end of the regular season, group winners meet in the NCGA Player's League Finals, which for 2026 will be held Nov. 19 on the new 18-hole course at Poppy Ridge.
Two teams from that event will then advance along with two clubs from the Southern California Player’s League to compete Dec. 3 in the California League Championship at Soboba Springs in Southern California.
