Danville resident and former Junior Tour of Northern California member Joshua Kim recently received a top junior golf award.
Kim, who’s headed to UCLA this fall, was one of six recipients of the 2025 Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award.
Each year, recipients of the award are honored for their high level of tournament play, excellence in academics, outstanding character and dedication to community service--all qualities that made legend Byron Nelson the man he was. There have been more than 60 recipients including Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.
Recipients are chosen because they embody the same values of integrity and sportsmanship that Nelson upheld in his own life. Nelson used his name and legacy to dedicate himself to not only the children and families of Momentous Institute, but also young players, offering them advice on the game of golf, humility and good sportsmanship.
Congrats to Joshua!
