For the second straight year, the San Francisco Giants’ home field, Oracle Park, saw some different kind of swings.
In November, Oracle Park for five days transformed into Ballpark Back9, a one-of-a-kind nine-hole course where participants teed off from scenic ‘upper deck’ spots to greens located on the field.
The nine tee boxes were in locations spanning from Center Field to View Reserve, Club Level, the Bleachers and more. As a bonus, following play there was a 10th hole putting challenge.
“We were excited to bring this unique, multi-day event back to Oracle Park for year two,” said Joey Nevin, Vice President of Giants Enterprises. “The Ballpark Back 9 is unlike any other course, making it a one-of-a-kind opportunity for baseball and golf fans alike plus it provides additional opportunities for guests to experience the best ballpark in Major League Baseball.”
It too was all for a great cause. As part of the event, host Giants Enterprises collaborated with First Tee-San Francisco to actively celebrate their mission of empowering local youth through golf.
