In the heart of golfing excellence, CommonGround Golf Course in Aurora stands tall as the proud Home of the CGA (Colorado Golf Association). More than just a golf course, CommonGround has become a hub for enthusiasts, a nurturing ground for young talent, and a venue for premier golf events.
CommonGround is not just any golf course – it is a masterpiece designed by the renowned golf course architect Tom Doak. Known for his innovative and strategic designs, Doak has crafted CommonGround to be a challenging yet enjoyable course for players of all skill levels. The course's thoughtful layout and scenic beauty make every round a memorable experience.
Over the past year, CommonGround's clubhouse has been undergoing extensive renovations to elevate the overall experience for its members and visitors. We are thrilled to announce that the new clubhouse officially opened its doors on February 1. The revamped facility promises to enhance the camaraderie among golfers and provide a welcoming space for golf enthusiasts to gather, share stories, and celebrate the spirit of the game.
CommonGround plays a pivotal role in the Colorado golf scene by hosting various CGA Championships, Qualifiers, and other events throughout the golf season. As a venue for these prestigious competitions, the course has become a stage for showcasing talent, sportsmanship, and the vibrant golfing community that exists within the CGA.
CommonGround's commitment to nurturing the next generation of golfers is evident through its partnership with Youth On Course. In 2023 alone, the course recorded an impressive 572 Youth On Course rounds. This initiative not only makes the sport more accessible to young players but also fosters a love for the game that will last a lifetime.
What sets CommonGround apart is its unique status as one of the three golf courses nationwide owned by an allied golf association. This distinction reflects the CGA's dedication to providing its members with a world-class golfing facility and reinforces the course's importance within the broader golfing community. Owning a golf course allows the CGA to host and conduct numerous programs in partnership with local organizations such as Special Olympics and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Colorado, as well as host CGA Golf in Schools field trips for hundreds of local students.
CommonGround Golf Course is not just a golfing venue; it's a vibrant community, a nurturing ground for future champions, and a testament to the CGA's commitment to the sport. As we celebrate the grand reopening of the clubhouse and look forward to another exciting golf season, we invite all golf enthusiasts to step onto the greens of CommonGround and experience the magic for themselves. CGA members, in addition to enjoying the superb facilities and world-class course design, also save up to 28% on green fees. Come on in and check out the new clubhouse – where golfing excellence meets community spirit!
