The people honored will be different, but the venue will be the same for the 2025 Colorado Golf Hall of Fame induction dinner as it was last year.
With a dozen people — five new inductees and seven honorees — being the center of attention, the Hall of Fame recently announced that its 52nd induction dinner will take place on the night of Friday, Oct. 3 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center (7800 E. Tufts Ave., in Denver), which also hosted last year’s festivities.
Registration and a reception are planned that day at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner beginning at 6:30. The cost per person is $350, with a table of 10 running $3,250.
Five people will comprise the CGHOF inductee class of 2025, matching the third-largest in organization’s history, after six were inducted in December and in 1976. This year’s class includes Colorado PGA professional Tom Apple, course superintendents Rollie Cahalane and Lance Johnson, and elite amateur players Jon Lindstrom and Robert Polk. The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame inducted its first class in 1973, with the honorees that year being Babe Zaharias, Dave Hill and Babe Lind.
After this year’s enshrinement, 159 inductees will be in the Hall of Fame.
Seven honorees will be recognized on Oct. 3: Geoff “Duffy” Solich (Golf Person of the Year); Colorado Golf Hall of Famer Keith Schneider and TV broadcaster Verne Lundquist (both Lifetime Achievement); superintendent Mitch Savage (Distinguished Service); Miles Kuhl and Tyler Long (Male Future Famers); and Ashleigh Wilson (Female Future Famer). Lundquist, who worked his 40th and final Masters as a TV broadcaster in 2024, is among those planning to attend the Oct. 3 festivities.
