In 1991, the USGA established the P.J. Boatwright Jr. Internship Program. This program is designed to give experience to individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in golf administration, while assisting state and regional golf associations in the promotion of amateur golf, on a short-term, entry level basis.
This year the CGA is proud to provide three USGA Boatwright interns the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in golf administration.
JENNA KNUTSON
Jenna Knutson, a native of Boulder, Colorado, developed her passion for golf at a young age, frequently playing at the Flatirons Golf Course. Her dedication to the sport led her to the University of Jamestown, where she played college golf while pursuing a BA in Business Administration. She returned to the University to be the Golf Team’s Graduate Assistant, which led her to CGA where she continues to be involved in the sport she has come to love. In addition to her golfing pursuits, she actively volunteers with the local 4H dog club in Boulder, demonstrating her commitment to the community and her love for animals.
Continuing to deepen her knowledge of the golf industry and tournament operations, Jenna aspires to become a PGA Teaching Professional. Her enthusiasm for the sport remains strong as she continues to play golf regularly. Outside of her golfing endeavors, Jenna enjoys hiking, spending time with her dogs, and attending sporting events with friends. She hopes to continue her love for golf by working in the industry after finishing her internship with CGA.

Leveraging his rich background in golf, Karl tackles the exciting challenges presented by the CGA with enthusiasm and expertise.
Beyond the greens, Karl finds joy in exploring the slopes of Winter Park and Steamboat through ski-biking, indulging in the adrenaline rush of navigating a variety of runs. On quieter days, he enjoys the company of his beloved gray-haired kitten, Stella.
