Overland Park Golf Course, where Denver’s golf legacy meets modern enjoyment, beckons you to the heart of Colorado’s golfing heritage. As the inaugural site for our first CGA Women’s Clinic of the season, Overland Park holds a special place in the CGA and Denver Golf’s history books.
Established in 1895 as the original Denver Country Club, Overland Park boasts the distinction of being the oldest continuously running course West of the Mississippi. Alongside two other historic Colorado courses, it stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the game. Built around the remnants of Jewell Park’s horse track, Overland Park’s origins are intertwined with the rich tapestry of early American golf. The Denver Country Club (Overland Park) was one of the founding members of the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association in 1901. Denver Country Club moved to its current location in 1905.
But Overland Park isn’t just about the past; it’s also about shaping the future. Proudly partnering with Youth On Course (YOC), Overland Park recorded an impressive 251 YOC rounds in 2023, offering life-changing opportunities to youth and ensuring golf remains accessible to all.
