As the excitement of the 2024 golf season builds, the Colorado Golf Association, along with its charitable arm, the Colorado Golf Foundation is also in full swing in serving kids in Colorado through effective junior golf programming.
Since 2012, the Colorado Golf Foundation has been instrumental in the expansion of the CGA’s mission, “To represent, promote and serve the best interests of golf in Colorado”. Through fundraising and community outreach, the Foundation has made contributions to the CGA and local organizations whose programs serve kids in three areas of impact: youth caddie programs, junior player development, and community outreach.
To date, the Foundation has issued grants totaling more than $376,000 to Colorado-based non-profit organizations. We are pleased to announce the Foundation board has approved its first round of grants of more than $75,000 to the organizations listed below. The Foundation also has begun work to explore new non-profit partnerships and create long-term goals to further impact youth development in Colorado.
In this new section of the CGA Monthly, we look forward to spotlighting these organizations receiving support from the Foundation and telling the stories of the kids benefiting from their important work and the purpose behind the Foundation’s vision to inspire kids on the course and in the classroom.
