The WiMAX Forum®, the leading nonprofit organization that certifies and promotes the compatibility and interoperability of broadband wireless products based upon IEEE Standard 802.16, is pleased to announce AeroMACS 2021 - Madrid collocated with World ATM Congress on Tuesday, 26 October at 16:40 at the Aireon Spotlight Stage.
Airlines, airports and air traffic controllers can benefit from the protected, regulated and licensed aviation spectrum band from 5091 MHz to 5150 MHz, which has been designated on a worldwide basis by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communication System (AeroMACS). Spectrum allocations dedicated and reserved to aviation applications are more secure and eliminates interference from other networks or devices.
AeroMACS is a high-performance secure airport data link technology, globally harmonised and identified by ICAO to support the future communication infrastructure (FCI). AeroMACS is the broadband technology selected for safety services at the airport surface in compliance with international aviation standards. It supports the increasing need for data communications and information sharing and it has been increasingly adopted throughout the world to enable ground communications infrastructures to support both fixed and mobile applications.
AeroMACS 2021 - Madrid will demonstrate how current and past AeroMACS deployments have been positively impacting and advancing the aviation industry. The presentations and discussions will provide the global Aviation community participating at the World ATM Congress in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in deploying effective and profitable AeroMACS networks.
The WiMAX Forum and its member companies will have AeroMACS stands on the exhibition show floor with more details and equipment. Visit the AeroMACS stand during World ATM Congress exhibition, the WiMAX Forum Leadership will be located at Stand 117.
Our goal is for attending participants to gain concrete knowledge that will help them build best-in-class AeroMACS networks and fully utilize them. The WiMAX Forum would like to extend a special thank you to our member companies for supporting the event.
