The opening session of NHF’s Bleeding Disorders Conference has long been an event that looks forward with possibility and promise. This year, however, the future focus will extend long past the time in National Harbor.
The National Hemophilia Foundation, now in its 75th year, will reveal a new name and rebranding during the session, setting a fresh course toward increased inclusivity, community and a holistic approach to care. The session will include Leonard Valentino, MD, NHF president and chief executive officer, and Michael Recht, MD, PhD, chief medical and scientific officer.

Much has changed in the 75 years since the National Hemophilia Foundation began. One thing, however, remains constant: a willingness to listen to the needs of the community. “The community tells us what they want, what they need from us, and then it’s our job to go and figure out how to do it,” said Dawn Rotellini, NHF chief operating officer.
