Before Sanofi takes visitors to the 2023 BDC Exhibit Hall “up, up and away” in a beautiful photo-ready balloon, the global healthcare company offers carnival-style games, prizes, treats and more throughout its booth. The “Community Lifts Us Up” theme is one of the first to greet guests to the lively, activity-filled hall, weaving helpful information and resources throughout the fun.
“We’ve had really strong traffic and a lot of infectious excitement,” said Christina Saraiva, senior product manager on the portfolio marketing team for Sanofi. Saraiva and Erin Drummey, head of the hemophilia B marketing team, spoke about the importance of being face-to-face with members of the community, increasing understanding and improving the ability to deliver the right services. They’re joined by numerous other Sanofi representatives at the booth, including Community Education and Relations (“CoRe”) managers.
On the other side of the hall, meanwhile, the Believe Limited Science Fair helps kids of all ages gain ground in the basics, using interactive viewfinders, microscopes and games to teach the mechanics of bleeding disorders. Lab coats for young scientists hang at the ready near the entrance.
Takeda’s booth includes a “connect and recharge” lounge, as well as a fast-paced guessing game and a “Does It Bleed?” interactive table akin to the classic Operation board game.
Accredo’s caped capillary, Hero, is likely to be hanging out nearby, highlighting the specialty pharmacy and service provider’s Junior Care Force. Pfizer’s presence is colorful, multi-faceted and informative, and includes a 360-degree photo booth for attendees. Bayer offers oversized Connect Four and cornhole, and CVS Specialty has onsite embroidery to personalize backpacks. And then there’s Spark Therapeutics, breaking down the concepts of gene therapy into understandable language.
A lot to take in? Perhaps. But a stop by Genentech’s booth can help bring some of those emotions back out. In keeping with the HEMLIBRA “It’s a feeling” theme, the pharmaceutical company incorporates AI to create personalized art based on the answers to a few questions. Make time to enjoy the fun!
