At a panel discussion on Friday at Internal Medicine Meeting 2021: Virtual Experience, Bob Doherty, ACP's Senior Vice President for Governmental Affairs and Public Policy, will discuss the future of health care policy with Andy Slavitt, senior advisor to the White House COVID-19 response team, and Cynthia Cox, vice president of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.
"The First (and Next) 100 Days: What's in Store for Health Care?" will cover such questions as:
· What are the Biden administration’s priorities in the coming year?
· Is major health care reform a possibility, or are incremental changes more likely to happen?
· What are potential areas for bipartisan cooperation?
· How is ACP’s New Vision for the U.S. Health Care System affecting the priorities of the administration and Congress?
"I expect a really lively and robust conversation," Mr. Doherty says in the above video. "A lot of our members, I think, should be really interested and will be interested in seeing what's happened so far, what does ACP want to see happen, [and] what's going to happen, projecting ahead for the next 100 days and longer." ■
