Ladies and gentlemen, the moment we have all been waiting for is finally here! Months of preparation, hours of practice, and countless scouting trips all lead to this very moment. The anticipation has been building, and now it’s time. So, grab your bow, lace up your boots, and race to your treestand—it’s officially hunting season!
There’s something special about this time of year. For many of us, a quiet morning in the woods is more than just a hunt—it’s therapy. The sound of the leaves crunching beneath our boots, the crisp air at sunrise, and the promise of new adventures make every season unforgettable. With plenty of opportunities ahead, we look forward to the challenges and rewards this year will bring.
The October edition of American Outdoor News is here to capture that same excitement. From the rugged wilderness of Alaska to the vast plains of Africa, this issue is packed with stories, tips, and adventures that celebrate the outdoor lifestyle that we all love.
We also had the pleasure of sitting down with country music artist and Sportsman Channel host of The Most Wanted List, Kristy Lee Cook. This talented and charismatic country girl has more depth than you might expect, and we’re excited to share her story with you. Beyond the bright stage lights and the thrill of the hunt, she opens-up about the values that drive her—faith, family, and a deep respect for the outdoors. Her journey is one of determination and authenticity, blending her passion for music with her love of hunting and conservation. Whether she’s performing in front of thousands, sitting quietly in a treestand, or traversing the rugged terrain of the back country, her enthusiasm and genuine spirit remain the same. Her passion for the outdoors, music, and connecting with people shines through every word, making this one of the most engaging conversations we’ve had.
We are looking forward to another exciting hunting season and hearing your stories and seeing your social media posts.
Thank you all again for following along on our journey. Good luck to all of you this season and hunt safely.
Sincerely,
Christopher Avena
