The Region 3 Conference had record-breaking numbers this year. The University of Arizona AISES chapter and their partners were terrific hosts who welcomed everyone. They provided delicious meals and great opportunities for networking. A highlight of the event was a tour of the Biosphere 2 and those who attended it had a fantastic time. The conference also included Native vendors and members of the beloved Council of Elders.

This past weekend, we had the privilege of hosting this year’s AISES Region 3 Conference. Welcoming 12 schools from Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico to our beautiful campus.
After our opening ceremony we had the opportunity to accompany a few of our AISES members to Biosphere 2, the largest controlled environment in the world devoted to comprehending the effects of climate change.
The day then concluded with our mixer, where we had the opportunity to mingle and get to know the different companies that had come to spend the day with us.
Our second day was filled with a perfect balance of learning, connection, and excitement, and was nothing short of extraordinary.
Our thoughtfully organized events began the day by catering to each and every passion and interest that make up the AISES family. Our poster presentations took place as the day went on. Seeing the cutting-edge studies and perspectives presented by our graduate and undergraduates provided another great example of the intellectual abilities of our AISES members.
We then convened for our Region 3 Caucus where we came together to end our conference.
Finally, before we went our separate ways we had good food and just overall enjoyed each other's company.
We would want to express our gratitude to everyone who attended — it was a great meeting.
