Region 7 conference attendees visited Nansemond Indian Nation and learned about efforts to restore oyster reefs in their ancestral waterways.
The AISES family may be far-flung, but we make sure our connections remain strong. An important way members sustain this vibrant organization is by coming together to network, share ideas, and strengthen cultural ties.
Members in each region gather annually. While the National Conference is the premier AISES get-together, the AISES in Canada National Gathering in Vancouver, British Columbia and the seven Regional Conferences are no less important for the unique opportunities they offer for an up-close, chapter-centric focus on the AISES mission of advancing Indigenous people of North America and the Pacific Islands in STEM.
At every Regional Conference, you will find attendees inspiring, motivating, and helping each other. This issue takes a look at the proceedings at two of the 2024 Regional Conferences as well as the AISES in Canada National Gathering, and snapshots of the other Regional Conferences.
